Present Tense

Be present, not tense.

Ah, the first Monday of the three weeks until Christmas Break... They had four days off, but the wiggles have already set in again. Sigh. I'm just holding on for the ride until after Christmas Break and they return with the first week of school behavior. I love those weeks. I am trying not to be tense about the craziness the next few weeks, and just be present to enjoy them. I won't get them back, and every moment with these students is precious.

Blessing #68: BrainPop Jr. 
I am so blessed... that the website BrainPop Jr. exists. My kiddos love the characters in the movies, Annie and Moby. They are great for introducing new information and building background. Plus, they often come with quizzes and lesson activities. One of the 5th grade teachers even made a Moby costume out of a cardboard box and every once in a while he puts it on to make my kids smile. Good websites and resources are a teacher's best friends.
